LTL vs. Nikita Allanov - Feb. 17 - No DQ!

One of the highly anticipated matches set to take place this Saturday night pits the winner of the 2007 Twist of Fate tournament "The Soviet Shooter" Nikita Allanov against "Lightning" Tim Lutz in a no disqualification match! But this is no grudge match; things have been heating up between these two men since early December!

It was December 2nd when Allanov joined forces with Brad Callaway and Mitch Gibson to take on Lutz, Dewey Brown, and Nick LeBeau. During the course of the match, Allanov focused his aggression on LTL, and the two brawled out to the floor and into the men's restroom. Lutz challenged Allanov to a match on December 9th, but the "Soviet Shooter" had other plans, instead sending in a video challenging Lutz to a match on his terms and his timing - namely January 4 at "A Snowball's Chance..." When Lutz and Allanov finally met one on one, they battled each other for a solid 15 minutes before the time limit expired on the match. Commissioner Nate Pelley quickly signed a rematch between the two to take place in the opening round of the Twist of Fate tournament.

This time, Allanov jump-started things before the bell even rang, brutally attacking LTL with his trusty Russian chain. By the time the match officially began, Lutz was hurt, but he wouldn't give up. After mounting an amazing comeback, LTL focused in on the object that had left him beaten and sore - the chain. Tim grabbed the weapon and brutally assaulted Allanov with it. Unfortunately, this was in the middle of the match and Lutz was disqualified for his actions.

Allanov went on to win the Twist of Fate tournament, and in a true "twist of fate" ended up slated to face new Heavyweight champion "The Real Deal" Dameon Steal. Steal, it should be noted, is the mentor of Tim Lutz; the man Lutz credits with training him as a professional wrestler. Steal suffered a broken neck two years ago and has not been able to make a full time return to the ring since. But, in an impromptu challenge, Steal defeated Brad Callaway to become the NEW Heavyweight champion. Allanov, who as the winner of the Twist of Fate tournament secured himself the number one contender status for the NEW title, had a face to face confrontation with Steal, who appeared to be simply sizing up his competition. Then, tragedy struck. Allanov brutally attacked Steal, reinjuring his neck with a vicious Russian sickle. Dameon had to be taken from the arena on a stretcher, leaving his status, and the status of the NEW Heavyweight title, in much question. For his unprovoked attacked, Allanov was suspended for the February 3rd show by Commissioner Pelley. But on that night, Tim Lutz unleashed the most emotional interview he's ever given, vowing to avenge his fallen mentor by any means necessary. Now, the suspension has been lifted and the match has been signed - Nikita Allanov against Tim Lutz, no disqualifications!

LTL fans, you won't want to miss this one!

NEW - LTL and "The Trophy" Go For Tag Team Gold

Saturday night, September 30th is the date for New Era Wrestling's Tag Team Championship Tournament. New Tag Team Champions will be crowned at this specially added, "5th week" show. Eight teams will battle for the vacant tag belts.

Two weeks ago, "The Trophy" Augusta McMullen made his 'much anticipated' Pro Wrestling debut in an impressive victory over Wrestler X. The win was so impressive, in fact, that LTL came to the ring to congratulate him... even going as far as making comparisons between "The Trophy" and Tim's mentor and trainer, Dameon Steal.

Tim asked Augusta to be his tag partner for the Crazy 8 Tournament, and the newcomer quickly accepted.

Can the team of "Lightning" Tim Lutz and "The Trophy" Augusta McMullen capture the tag team championship? Certainly they provide a mixture of both speed and power that the other teams will need to reckon with.

The other teams announced for the tournament are:

  • Black & Blue Crew (Cyrus Poe/Tommy Chill)
  • Dave Nevada & Dustin Rayz
  • "Mr. Reality Check" Big Jim Hutchinson & Tommy Blaze
  • The Rebellion ("Scorpion" Chris Reno/"Arsenal" Brett Grayson)
  • The ThrillKillerz (Logan Caine/Alexander Drago)
  • "Australian Assassin" Koz Jackman & Wrestler X
  • Dewey Brown/Shawn Draven

We're Back!

Thank you so much to the many fans who have checked in with us as we went through the ordeal with New Era Wrestling over the past few months. We can't thank you enough for the many cards, letters, and personal contacts. It was a difficult time, but we've successfully come through to the other end.

Imagine the surprise on July 15th for the fans, and more importantly the NEW officials, when Tim and father, Eddie Lutz, walked in the front door of Spears Gym and took our seats in the crowd. Lt. Moonshine (acting on behalf of Col. Artie Kidwell, who was mysteriously absent) tried to have security remove us once again from the building. It was not to be on this evening.

Shockingly, Nate "the Snake" Pelley had worked behind the scenes over Kidwell's head to the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee agreed with Pelley's assessment that bringing the Lutzes back was "good for business." As such, Tim and I have both been reinstated as active members of the NEW roster.

The Main Event of that evening was a 6-man tag where "Lightning" Tim Lutz, "Sick" Nick LeBeau, and Ronnie Longworth (managed by Eddie Lutz) defeated The Rebellion ("Punisher" Brad Callaway, "Scorpion" Chris Reno, and "Arsenal" Brett Grayson, managed by Lt. Moonshine).

N.E.W. Saturday, August 5th
Tim's opponent for this Saturday night is the veteran, Tommy Blaze. This will be the first ever meeting between these two Superstars.

In addition, the Main Event of the evening will be a Battle Royal with all of the NEW Superstars. The winner of the match will become the #1 contender for the NEW Heavyweight Championship. Could this be LTL's chance to regain championship gold?

Come to Spears Gym in Mt. Healthy, OH this Saturday night, August 5th at 8 pm for what should prove to be a very exciting night of Wrestling action.
